Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company announced it will invest another $100 billion to expand its chip production operations in the United States. The pledge increases the company's total commitment to its US facilities to $265 billion, marking one of the largest foreign investments in American manufacturing.
TSMC said the expansion will create high-tech, high-paying jobs as part of its fast-growing operations in Arizona. The company manufactures advanced semiconductors used in everything from smartphones to artificial intelligence systems.
