These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the Plain app and website ("Plain"), operated by Low Signal Labs ("we", "us", or "our"). By downloading, installing, or using Plain, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use Plain.
Plain is a news reader that aggregates and summarizes publicly available news content. You may use Plain for personal, non-commercial purposes only. You may not:
Plain offers a paid subscription ("Plain Pro") that unlocks additional content categories. Plain Pro is priced at $2.99 per month. Subscriptions are billed through the Apple App Store on a monthly basis. Your subscription automatically renews unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.
You may manage or cancel your subscription at any time through your Apple ID settings. Refunds are handled by Apple in accordance with their standard policies. We do not issue refunds directly.
A 7-day free trial is available to new subscribers. After the trial period, your subscription will begin billing at the standard rate unless cancelled before the trial ends.
Plain aggregates news summaries based on publicly available RSS feeds. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of any content. News summaries are generated with the assistance of AI and may contain errors. Plain is not a substitute for consulting primary news sources.
Original news content referenced by Plain remains the property of the respective publishers. Plain does not claim ownership of third-party news content.
The Plain app, its design, branding, and original content are owned by Low Signal Labs. You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of Plain without our prior written consent.
Plain is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the app will be error-free, uninterrupted, or free of viruses or other harmful components. Your use of Plain is at your own risk.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Low Signal Labs shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of Plain, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of revenue, or loss of profits.
Plain is distributed through the Apple App Store. Your use of Plain is also subject to Apple's Standard End User License Agreement (EULA). In the event of any conflict between these Terms and Apple's EULA, Apple's EULA shall govern with respect to App Store-related matters.
Apple is not a party to these Terms and is not responsible for Plain or its content. Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for Plain.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of Plain after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
