British racing driver Ollie Millroy says he is alive only because rival Loek Hartog pulled him from his burning Ferrari during a China GT Championship race in Shanghai on Saturday. Hartog abandoned his own car and used a fire extinguisher to douse the flames before dragging Millroy from the wreckage. Millroy suffered five broken ribs, a broken collarbone, broken hand, broken finger, and bruised lung.

Millroy's team, AAI Motorsport, said it will no longer participate in any China GT races, accusing organizers of negligence and saying the car burned for more than a minute without timely firefighting or rescue operations. Race organizers said they will review the accident and address shortcomings in emergency response and medical services.

Hundreds of protesters gathered in Portsmouth on Sunday night after around 140 migrants were rescued from a single dinghy in the English Channel.
